On June 4th, 2024, I had the pleasure of capturing the 5th grade graduation party at Saratoga Springs in Saratoga, CA. Organized by dedicated parent volunteers and expertly coordinated by my good friend Jessica Johnson, the event was a perfect blend of fun and sentimentality.
Set in the picturesque Longbridge Lawn, the party enjoyed the unique charm of Saratoga Springs, the Bay Area's oldest continuously operating event facility. Family-owned and operated since the late 1800s, this beautiful venue is nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains, featuring towering Redwoods and flowing creeks, creating an enchanting atmosphere for any celebration.
The outdoor setting was ideal for the festivities. The Longbridge Lawn offered a variety of activities, including a bocce court, a volleyball net, basketball, a fun photo booth area and plenty of open lawn space for the kids to run around. One of the highlights was the duck race, an essential part of any 5th grade grad party, bringing smiles and laughter to everyone involved.
For lunch, the kids indulged in classic favorites: hamburgers, hotdogs, and chili. The fountain soda machine was a particular hit, as the kids lined up for their turns, as if they had never tasted Coke before. The fun continued with a cotton candy machine and a popcorn machine, adding to the festive atmosphere and delighting the young graduates.
The day was filled with joy and the sound of laughter echoed through the Redwoods. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves, making new memories with their friends, classmates, and teachers. These moments, captured through my lens, are more than just photographs; they are core memories that will stay with them forever, strengthening the bonds they've created over the years.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this special day.
Congratulations to the 5th grade class of 2024! May these memories remind you of the joy and friendship that marked this milestone in your lives.
